What This Policy Covers
This Cookie Policy explains the cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies that the TwinCloudsAI website and app (https://twincloudsai.com) currently use, based on how the Service is actually built. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
Cookies vs. Browser Storage
"Cookies" are small text files a website can ask your browser to store and send back on future requests. Modern browsers also provide similar mechanisms — localStorage and sessionStorage — which store small amounts of data directly in your browser without being sent to a server automatically. TwinCloudsAI currently relies primarily on localStorage and sessionStorage for the functional purposes described below, alongside third-party services that may set their own cookies on their own domains.
Essential & Functional Technologies
These are used to make the Service work and do not require your consent:
| Purpose | Technology |
|---|---|
| Remembering your cookie consent choice | localStorage |
| Login attempt and temporary lockout tracking | localStorage |
| Carrying a draft AI-generated caption between pages | localStorage |
| Temporary scheduler "suggested time" values | sessionStorage |
| Keeping you signed in | Firebase Authentication session |
None of these store cookies in the strict sense described above — they use browser storage (localStorage/sessionStorage) rather than cookies, and they are necessary for core features (consent memory, login, drafts, scheduling suggestions) to function.
Analytics
TwinCloudsAI uses Firebase Analytics (which runs on Google Analytics 4 infrastructure) to understand how the Service is used. This is only activated if you choose "Accept" in our cookie banner — if you choose "Reject," analytics consent is explicitly withheld and Firebase Analytics does not collect analytics data for you.
Meta / Facebook
TwinCloudsAI loads the Meta (Facebook) JavaScript SDK in two situations: (1) automatically, if you have granted analytics/tracking consent, so that basic usage events can be recorded; and (2) on demand, if you choose to connect a Facebook or Instagram account, since the SDK is required for that specific feature to work regardless of your cookie choice. Analytics-style event tracking through this SDK only occurs where consent has been granted.
PayPal Checkout
When you subscribe to a paid plan, PayPal's own checkout interface is loaded to process payment. PayPal's checkout may use its own cookies or similar technologies on its own domain as part of processing your payment securely. We do not control, and this policy does not state, the specific technologies PayPal uses — please refer to PayPal's own privacy and cookie policy for that detail.
Contact Forms
Our contact form is delivered using Formspree, a third-party form-handling service. This policy does not claim that Formspree sets cookies, because our implementation does not establish that — if Formspree uses any cookies or similar technologies as part of its own service, those are governed by Formspree's own privacy policy, not this one.
Managing Your Consent
When you first visit, a banner lets you Accept or Reject analytics/tracking technologies. Your choice is remembered in your browser so you aren't asked again every visit. You can change your choice at any time by clicking the small cookie icon that remains visible on the site — this reopens the same Accept/Reject banner, and your new choice takes effect immediately.
Other Third-Party Technologies
Beyond what is described above, other third-party services we rely on (such as Firebase's core infrastructure for authentication, data storage, and file storage) may use their own technologies on their own domains as part of delivering their service to us. This policy does not invent specific cookie names, durations, or retention periods for any third party beyond what is stated above, because our own implementation does not establish those details. Where we are uncertain, we say so rather than guess.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as the Service or the technologies it uses change. We will revise the effective date above when we do.
